What a great story. I absolutely love the Take It Off series. I always have these on my calendar and purchase them as soon as I see they've been released. They're all stand alone books, but each are wonderful so you should read them all.

Roxie thought when she met Craig in high school, that he would be the love of her life.She was wrong. What started out as a sweet romance, turned mean, bitter, dishonest and abusive. Craig is horrible! He's such an evil a$$ and he's determined that one way or another he'll get Roxie back.

Roxie has worked at the Mad Hatter as a stripper for several years. She doesn't mess with the customers, just works to make money in hopes of one day being able to go to college and change her life. Her boss, Adam is great. He's protective of his employees and makes sure they're in a safe and clean environment. Although she doesn't think he feels the same way, Roxie can't help but have feelings for him. But she's afraid if he knew about her past with Craig, that he'd never be interested in her. Not to mention Craig keeps trying to contact her.

Adam has finally decided he's waited long enough. He's now divorced and nothing is going to stop him from going after Roxie. He's wanted her for a long time and knows they can have a great future together. When he makes it clear his intentions are to claim Roxie, he can hardly believe she wants it too. But just when things start looking good and they're getting closer, Craig is back in the picture. And it's bad.

I adored Adam. He's this sexy, protective alpha man who makes your toes curl just thinking about him. He loves Roxie. Has for a while. But he doesn't rush her or pressure her. He lets her know he's there and he's not going anywhere. Roxie is a great female lead. She's been through so much with her ex. It befuddles my brain how some women can make excuses for abusive men in their life and either stay with or go back to them. However I thought C.H. did an excellent job of describing why it was hard for Roxie to leave. I just hate it took her so long.

You're going to love Adam and Roxie. They were secondary characters in Tease, book two in this series. We don't get along of them, but we do see Cam and Harlow again in this book. Remember they both work at the Mad Hatter too. I can't wait too see which book we'll get next and what story we'll get lost in.

This was a super great, fun and HOT read. It went quick - almost too quick relationship wise, but was still entertaining.
It isn't my favorite in the series, but it's not my least favorite.
I felt the H was VERY OTT Alpha and that the h was a great, strong female.
I loved the danger/suspense.
Again, the only issue was I felt that the relationship didn't really start at a 1 and get to a 10, but started at an 8 and then went to 10.
Still very good though.

Love this author and can't wait for more! This series is an auto buy for me.
I admit it - I've been anticipating Roxie & Adam's story ever since Harlow & Cam's story introduced them in Tease. ) Their story did NOT disappoint at all!

Everything was pieced together so very well - Roxie & Adam's backstory together & their individual back stories. I was a little sorry that we didn't see much interaction between the four of them - there was some, and it was well done, but I did want to see a little more of the friendship. Other than that, tho, everything gets two thumbs up! I love the sense of friendship/attraction and true CARING there is between Adam & Roxie.

This definitely goes in the re-read line of TIO stories! )
I love Cambria Hebert. Her books carry you from cover to cover to a land of heroes, love and heartache. Her characters all have some spark in them that you root for. Their journeys are hard fought but worth every word. This book was no different. Adam owns a strip bar where Roxie works as a stripper. They have chemistry and a past that keeps them apart. Roxies ex is stalking her and threatening her. Adam cannot stand by any more and claims her. The steam floats off the page for these two. Their path is not easy but they work together for a happy future. I loved it. It was a fast read with lots of drama and steamy love scenes. I was hooked!
By far the best book in the series...Lordy Lordy I have a new best book boyfriend! Adam is godlike and perfect in every way...The plot of this book really hits home for a lot of people with the abusive addictive ex-boyfriend or first love. I know it did for me and Adam was the knight in shining armor we all hope for. Roxie has some incredible things in her life that she has to learn from in order to move forward, but like the women in the rest of the series she is strong, intelligent and determined...Go Roxie! Roxie and Adam's journey to bliss will keep you on the edge of your seat and possibly even hit home on several levels for many of you. A Fabulous story that can be related to. Thank you CAmbria for puring your heart and soul into what you write I think you have found your niche'
First of all, HUGE fan--I have a complete Cambria Hebert Library/bookshelf. Every single time she pens a new book, I am forced to once again toss the previous hottie to the side so I can LOVE my NEW book boyfriend. Although Adam is not a boy, he's a MAN . . . and what a man he is!
He's not a rocker, a millionaire or a prize fighter, he's not even that OMG drop Dead gorgeous/drop your panties guy. What he is is a very good businessman who owns a strip club, has been divorced FOUR times(obvious commitment issues) and good looking in the normal sense. It was so refreshing to read about a "REAL" man for a change, one who had his own baggage and problems but was so crazy about one stripper ROXIE that his sole focus became taking care of her.
The problems ROXIE had were actual issues that quite a few women go through, I loved the storyline and having someone like Adam step in and be a true "hero." This is a well written story with deep characters and everyday problems. Reading Trashy-was like taking a breath of fresh air.
